Week #28 Weigh-in

It's the end of Week 28!

How's it gone this week? Any triumphs? Any disasters? Here's your chance to tell everybody about it, whether you're a weekly or monthly (or anything in between) W1S1 participant.

If you've managed to write a story and submit a story, here's your chance to tell the world. If you've had something W1S1-related accepted, tell us so we can add you to the Write1Sub1 Hall of Fame. But if life has interfered with your writing and every reply has been a rejection, let us know that too so we can commiserate. We're all in this together.

Please report ONLY accepted/published stories that you wrote as part of your participation in W1S1 (2011-2015).

(Please note that reports will not immediately appear, as they must be verified/processed by the moderator.)

While W1S1 continues to encourage all avenues for publication, we want to especially highlight those stories and markets that help to put tea in a writer's cup.

Even if you have no acceptance or publication news to report, please update us on your week's progress in the comments. Successes and failures, triumphs and disasters, brilliant ideas and insane dreams: we want to read all about them.

  1. Two heart breakers this week! Rejections at the final cut--seems like that's all my 2015 has been so far. No writing done, and a lot of obligations coming up that may limit me but maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to write a flash or something and submit it somewhere. Not good on the writing front here! But I'm still jotting down lots of ideas . . . for future reference.

  2. This has been a crazy week since I came home from one trip, had a few days at home, then went off to San Diego Comic-Con for a day. My writing groove is waaaaay off.

W: Wrote a new Chicken Soup story, which I am now rewriting. I plan to send it in this month for my W1S1.

    Write on!

  3. I too had two rejections this week, one with some really constructive feedback rather than the usual fob-off, the other one was quite a relief as I wanted to submit the piece elsewhere anyway. No writing done, unless you count a hasty blog post, but I did get the art work for the anthology "Hides the Dark Tower" in which I have a story included. This always makes things feel real.

  5. Wrote about 8k words this week on a project I wasn't intending to look at for a while yet. Revising various things. I've a short story (previously published in an anthology) that I'm releasing as an eBook on Tuesday.

Just chugging along producing words at this point.
