The first month of Write1Sub1 RELOADED is over. One month down, eleven to go!Are YOU a "January Juggernaut" winner?
At the end of each month, we publish a list of everyone who has managed to stick to the challenge: weekly or monthly.
This month, everyone who has done so receives the January Juggernaut Award (in honor of Ray Bradbury's similiarly titled story, Juggernaut).
So if you've met your W1S1 writing goals during January, add your name and blog URL to the linky widget below.
And if you've had something W1S1-related published this month that you're particularly proud of, add its title and URL to the widget as well. We'll be sure to check it out!
BLOGFEST RULES: Visit all of the participants above and give them each a virtual slap on the back for their success this month. Then visit their published works, and leave a comment if possible. Well done, everyone!
Yay! I kept up with month one - best of luck everyone for the next 11.
ReplyDeleteMade my goal. Which kind of surprises me, but that's a good thing. :)
ReplyDeleteOne month down. It's going to be a challenge this year. Congratulations to everyone who's kept up so far.
ReplyDeleteMade it. Technically i hit my goal for the month right at the beginning, by subbing 5 previously unsubbed poems, but last night i got a brand new shortie out the door.
ReplyDeleteSo yay!
Way to go, Team!
ReplyDeleteManaged 22K in my novel WiP Progeny this month + a brand-spankin' new short story written & subbed.
Onward and upward, y'all. =]
I made it, even though I kept putting it off.
ReplyDeleteI surpassed my goal, not by much, but every little bit counts. W1S1 definitely helped because more than once I thought "Time to play *insert video game here*" but then remembered I needed to work on my stuff for W1S1 and I got back to work.
ReplyDeleteThanks W1S1.
One month down, eleven to go.
Wrote a new story and submitted it this month. I'm also editing two stories I wrote in December. Yay!
ReplyDeleteWrote it, subbed it, got rejected. But I've got three on the burner for next month so maybe I'll get lucky.
ReplyDeleteNow I just need to get going on my blog.
You re-subbed it somewhere else though, right?
DeleteOne down eleven to go. Thanks for helping to keep me on target.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good month for me.
ReplyDeleteTwo new stories, written and subbed.
Loads of rejections of 2011 stuff, but most of them are back out.
And two publications. Both for 2011 stories, and both for $$ :D Mayflies in Comets and Criminals, and In Return in Every Day Fiction.
I thought I'd already posted this. But my comment's not there.
ReplyDeleteIf this turns out to be a double, please delete.
This month:
I wrote 2 new stories and subbed them both.
I got loads of 2011 stories rejected and sent most of them back out.
I had two 2011 stories published. Both for $$.
Mayflies in Comets and Criminals
In Return in Every Day Fiction.
So, pretty good month. :)
Got my Jan story written, but haven't sent it out yet. Loads of rejections sent back out this month, though. Going weekly for Feb--could be a struggle; hopefully not. Congrats to all who made it through Jan!
ReplyDeleteI did it I did it! Wrote one, submitted a new story. :) And it was a CRAZY work month.
ReplyDeleteI'm at 9 subs for the month, 4 new stories, and 25k on the novel. Thanks w1s1 - it's definitely been a factor in my motivation this month. 1 month down, 11 to go!
ReplyDeleteOkay! I'm back in the game. After two months of being out of commission, I'm writing again.
ReplyDeleteWrite-1: "The Rainbow Flush"
Sub-1: "The Depths of Inner Space" (actually - I'm subbing in the morning when the magazine opens back up for submissions).
I was cruising on the first draft of a story and then I got a rewrite request for a story submitted this month. Finished the rewrite and resubmitted. The rewrite tripled the word count of the original story so it's almost like a new story. Hope that counts. : ) Back to work on the other story and I have to get busy on the novel.
ReplyDeleteA month already? Amazing. I feel like I just found this crazy thing.
ReplyDeleteWrote and subbed each week, lots of rejections and one $sale to Unfold.
Thanks to all the frenzy I have not only revved up the pace on my w.i.p. novel, but I have re-discovered my inner poet (in the interest of fast production) For the record, this event rocks. Thanks to all!
I managed to make my goal despite putting it off until the end of the month. Maybe February will be better.
ReplyDeleteMade my goal, too -- three times over. Especially glad I made the Dark Faith 2 antho deadline.
ReplyDeleteGood luck writing, everyone!
A comment on Patsy's London Scot.
ReplyDeleteI once saw someone eat a fried Mars bar for his birthday. I still cringe.
I'm confused about how the link to my poem got there??? I thought I'd linked to my blog - it is my poem, but it was written and published last year so I'm not claiming it as a hall of fame piece.
ReplyDeleteI did just fine with my W1/S1 goal for January, though I struggled a bit with some of my other goals. Still, I ended the month with about a half dozen more short stories than I started it with, so I'm not going to complain!
ReplyDeleteMade it! Now to play the waiting game on that piece while I work on the next!
ReplyDeleteManaged to write and sub 2 this month! Hopefully that will give me some leeway if I have a "dry" month later... In any case, a good month.
ReplyDeleteWrote four and subbed four. Next month'll be tough though!
ReplyDeleteJanuary done already! Time sure flies when you're working this hard :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats & cheers to everyone on this wild ride!
Done and done.
ReplyDeleteFinished and submitted TIN CAT. Still checking the inbox a dozen times a day, LOL.
ReplyDeleteOne month down, eleven more to go. We can do this!
ReplyDeleteMade it. I'm not happy that I didn't complete more this month, but college makes for an added challenge. I intend to make February much more productive.
ReplyDeleteSent my January W1S1 short story out today! Snail mail to Highlights. Congratulations to all who met the January challenge!
