The June "Jack in the Box" Award

Are YOU a June "Jack in the Box"?

At the end of each month here at Write1Sub1, we publish a list of everyone who has managed to stick to the challenge -- either weekly, monthly or whatever variant is working for you.

This month, everyone who has done so receives the June Jack in the Box Award (in honor of Ray Bradbury's short story, of course).

So, let us know! If you've stuck it out, tell us in the comments below, and we'll add you to our end-of-the-month celebratory post. Include the URL to your blog or website, and we'll make your entry a link for others to explore.

BLOGFEST RULES: Just visit the participant above you and below you on the winners list (posted tomorrow night), or visit them all, and give them each a virtual slap on the back for their success this month!

  2. Met my weekly goals -- all flash this month, but flash that I'm proud of. We'll see what the editors have to say.

  3. This has been my first whole month swimmin' in the big-kids pool, and I might have been flailing and gasping and splashing at times, but I somehow managed to keep up on my laps:

Two short stories, a flash piece, a significant revision of a piece that took it from flash to short, and five 25-word stories, all written and submitted in the past 4 weeks.

  4. I succeeded in June with a submission acceptance! That brings me up to 2 accepted subs this year, one to trapeze magazine and the other to Open Heart Publishing--who happens to have a blurb up about me right now. It's surreal.

  6. I once again exceeded my goal. Next month, no more than 2 stories. Crap, Shock Totem starts tomorrow. Okay, August for sure.

  7. I did it! One definite sub and a second one I'm questioning because it wasn't a full story, just the first line to a story (for a contest, based on a prompt.) I guess it doesn't matter because I did sub one.

I'm worried about July. Camp NaNo is starting and my novel idea is taking over my brain...

  10. Halfway through the 2011 challenge, right? I'm still going--barely. LOL. Would like to actually sell one of them, though. But gotta sub more to make that happen I suppose. ;)

  12. I'm hanging in there, even after I was traveling for half the month.

One of my May stories was accepted this week by Fantastique Unfettered! And there was much rejoicing.
